The www.WorldArtPortfolio.com and www.WorldArtForum.com websites may become unavailable for a short time period this week to due hosting and maintenance. This issue should be resolved by the end of this week. Please be patient. Again, the downtime should be a few days at most. I will also be taking this time to remove outdated portfolios, such as those whose email address rejects/returns the email notice I sent as being undeliverable. These portfolios will not immediately be deleted, but will be marked as inactive and will no longer be shown on the site. I will give the owners of such portfolios 30 days to take notice and notify me with an updated email address. After that time, they will be removed permanently. I want to thank all of you for your participation. I hope that these sites will be able to continue to grow and become an invaluable arts resource.

For those of you who saw the post from ickenoxartshop.co.uk, or if you are looking for your post, it was removed. Pretty low to post a shameless advert like that on a private forum built around another website. Please use the link directory to post such information.

Sent to webmaster @ artq.net about their alleged plagiarized copy:

Funny how similar "This global arts resource provides you with access to artist portfolios, high quality art by living artists. Add your artwork to our website, contact the artists directly through our easy to use form." which appears on the front page of your site is so similar to the copy that has been on the front page of WorldArtPortfolio.com since the year 2000.

Just noticed that the copy has been changed. I do appreciate that.

However, they have continued to use meta tags that are still similar to my original content.

WorldArtPortfolio.com is now accepting submissions: Call For Artists - Painting - December 2005 This call is not limited by style or subject. It is a general call for artists looking for inclusion on the WorldArtPortfolio.com website in the Painting Category. Click here for more information and online entry.

I am still doing a bit of debugging, and writing new calls for entry at the moment, but all sections should be released soon. I also had to go back through and move/remove/and BAN some links in the link directory today. Don't worry though, unless your link was broken or forwarded to some Gothic dating site, it is still in the directory. For more information on the link directory, please see http://www.worldartportfolio.com/beta/help/html_version.cfm
